Does anybody know where i cand find a free female yorkie terrier that is a couple of weeks old to a month?

you need a puppy a little older than that. atleast 6 wks. you can't take a newborn puppy away from it's mommy!

You may love it, but it doesn't sound as if you can afford one.
Vet bills alone are pretty expensive.
And you do not get a puppy that is a "couple of weeks" old. Do you realize that puppies are not weaned until 6 weeks at the earliest???????? Save up and in a year or so maybe you can afford a puppy. You can't right now. If the puppy got parvo because you didn't take it to the vet for vaccines due to muney, how would you feel???? What if it died???? It may sound like a good idea, but when you are an adult, you realize what is a good idea, and what is something that you really can do. It is not fair to a puppy. In the year or so that you are saving up, do some research on dogs so you will know what to do once you get one.

Still don't believe you can afford one. If this is the third dog, and you can afford the PROPER care and feeding of all of them, you could afford $400 to buy one. I see them in the paper and on the internet for $400 all the time. I do not know where they are selling them for $1,000. I am sure show breeders are, but you are not looking to get that kind of quality.

Animals cost money even if you get them free. Vaccinations, food, flea prevention all really add up so I don't suggest getting one at all.

A puppy should be closer to 12 weeks. Puppies/dogs can cost a great deal of money in medical expenses and I don't think you are prepared for that. When you have a companion, there is a commitment you make to take care of this companion. For example, about 3 weeks ago I had to put my 13 year old Kerry Blue Terrier to sleep. It cost me close to $6,000 from January 06 to May 06 to try to save her and I would do it again in a heartbeat. She was my best buddy.

The thing is, Yorkies go fast. I have bred them, and even if you were to find a mixed yorkie at a shelter, it would most likely be adopted out already. In your situation, I would call a breeder and see if an older pup has lazy ears, or is not up to breeding or showing standards and see if you can't get a deal on it. Trust me. Even the most problematic, old yorkie will probably sell for at least 300.00. I am sorry. I know how sweet they are. Mine is my best friend. Try yorkiepup.com

Free dogs are never "free" - you would be getting either a sick dog that will cost you a bundle at the vet or a dog with behavior problems that someone else is getting rid of. Would you expect someone to be giving away a free car that runs great?

If you can't afford to pay for the puppy, you may not be able to afford all the other bills that go along with raising and owning a dog. Go to your local animal shelter or humane society for the cheapest dog, if that is your only concern. NEVER buy a dog from a pet store or the internet. You'd probably be paying top dollar and getting a poor quality dog from a puppy mill that may not even be purebred.

Go to http://www.akc.org and look for the breed rescue page - they often will have older dogs that they are looking to place. They won't be free, but they will cost less than buying a pup.

Try a rescue group. They won't be free, though. There will be some charge to adopt the dog, but it will be less then from a breeder.

First of all, she should be the one to pick out her own puppy..Not you! 2nd of all, FREE?? HAHA..I don't think so dear. I paid 1200.00 for mine. These dogs run from 1000.00 for a male to 2400.00 with the mid being 1200.00-1500.00.

Yorkshire terriers require very special handling when being raised, the mother usually only has 3 pups on average. This is why they are so expensive..

You will never find one at the shelter, maybe a rescue but you pay around 350.00-500.00 for a rescue, probably with issues as well.. People do not give these dogs away (especially to a 14 year old)..

Yorkies are very expensive so it would be difficult if not impossible to find a free one.
Also they or any small dog take a lot of care. We have a teacup poodle and he if a 24 hour job. They don't like to be alone, they are finicky about eating, I am sure your sister works and has a life besides, I am retired and my brother and I take care of
Rambo, all three pounds of him and it is all we can do. Think about it.

Google Yorkshire Terrier rescue in your area. They are very popular little dogs. #5 with American Kennel Club. Also you could try your local ASPCA or Humane Society depending where you live. I have an 8 month old and I can't wait to get home at night just to see him again and have him give me that loving welcome that he always does. Good Luck.

A free yorkie! no that doesn't exist honey unless its stray. You can look online or visit a animal shelter in your area and you might find a chea yorkie but probibly not free. Trust me i have a male yorkie and he was bought at a breeders and his tail wasn't croped so they reduced the price but he was still $500.
I suggest going to a pound. You may find a cheaper one but probibly not under $200.

I adopted my Yorkie @ the local shelter 3 years ago ( cost $48.00), there is no problem at all, you have 15 days to check on the dog to see if they're sick or not (it free), if the dog is sick and you don't want to spend money on them so you could return to shelter.
not thing wrong with adopt a homeless dog, shelter have all infor about the dog, so you know where the dog come from and why the owner gave them up…. not because they're bad.
My Yorkie the owner turned her in because they moved to a new apartment where pets not allowed.
