I'm trying to help my little sister train her Yorkie. She has her in the crate when she's gone to work but when she gets back takes her outside etc and does this quite a few times during the day. Then sometimes the dog will find my sister look her right in the face squat and pee. Anyone help? I feel so bad for her!
Yorkies are notorious for being hard to housebreak. All you can do is keep up the training and not give up. It may take months.

It can potty train, your sister has to teach it to go outside. Small dogs are hard to potty train. I guess she should have Research the breed before she got it.

Little dogs are hard to train. You have to start by not treating them like a little dog. Carrying them, letting them up on furniture makes them think they are your equal and that makes training difficult.
She needs to crate the dog, take it out, let it pee and then only give it a half hour free time before it goes back in the crate and then repeat the whole thing every couple hours. Its the only way. Every transgression makes training more difficult.

the dog is trying to tell her it needs to go to the potty!! a few times is not enough puppies need to be brought to there business spot every 1-3 hours.as they grow you can lengthenn the time

don'tt wait for the dog to come to you and tell you it has to go let it out so often it doesnt have to ask.

A friend of mine has a Yorkie, and from her experience, and from what I've read they are the ABSOLUTE WORST to potty train!!
I wish your sister all the luck in the world!
Also, have her check out this book called "How to housebreak your dog in 7 days". I paid about $7 for it at my local bookstore. Really worked for us.

some dogs are really hard to potty train trust me i have a lot of dogs and theres only one that is trained.some just don't get the conceptt so i would suggest going to the pet store and getting potty pads! they work a little better for my dogs!!
