How do you house train a Yorkie puppy?

be very very patient! my puppy is only 5 pounds and has a very tiny bladder so we just shoved her outside when she was going or just like atleast once every 20 minutes. make sure she knows when she goes outside and pees or poos that she's doing a good thing! praise her and maybe reward her with something! worked with my puppy and even though she does have her little accidents she's getting the hang of it

you crate train it like any other dog….. and you should spay your pets.. unless you plan on showing them

take her out everytime she eats, wakes up from a nap, as soon as you get up in the morning, and if your a stay at home person then I would say about every 2 hours.
Make sure you are telling her that hey we go out side to potty.
praise her when she goes and you can even give her a small treat.
I have a Yorky and due to her allergies she is paper trained and never touches the ground outside.

This is a method of house training that has worked each and every time. Crate training is the best way to go. Pet stores have all sorts of crates for all sizes of dogs. I don't think you would need a very big one for the baby. Just make sure it's big enough for the pup to sit up and and lay down in. You don't want to cramp this little girl. Put a blanket inside, a bowl with a little water is good too. A few toys will make it even better. Let her out as many times as you can during the day to go to the bathroom. When she is done, put her right back into the crate. When she goes potty outside praise her and give her a treat. They love praise and treats! Dogs will not go to the bathroom in the same area that they sleep in. Ask any of the stores personnel for assistance when you do go to get the crate. They will be able to help you pick the right size and give you pointers on how to crate train. To me this is the best way to go. The old method of newspaper training is not any good at all. I wouldn't even recommend that to you. Hope this helps! Good luck!

It really depends on the dog, because some dogs are just like that. One of my friends has a long haired rat terrier that just never understood the concept, and is now a spoiled outside dog. Also, depending on where the puppy sleeps, keep him/her enclosed wherever he/she sleeps. That is how my grandma trains all of her dogs. That is also how I trained my dog. Whatever you do, don't give up on the puppy, and good luck!!
