How often are you supposed to groom a yorkie?
I am debating on what dog to get. I have done so much research and I can't find an answer! If you have a Yorkie I need your help! Also I would like my Yorkie not to have that long, show dog hair, so you do not need to answer that. Thank you guys so much!
well you should brush it once a day because it will keep the hair unmatted and tehn take it to the groomer about once or twice a month

I have a silky terrier, which is sort of like the yorkie and i groom my pup every other day to remove the dead hairs and prevent any mats from appearing.

ALL dogs benefit from daily brushing, long or short hair.
If you are going to keep your dog shaved, then a trip to the groomer every 2-3 months should do it. If you are going to keep it longer, then it depends on the coat texture and how good a job you do brushing.

A yorkie should be groomed everyday or at least every other day. You an keep a dog's puppy cut or a longer yet still manageable cut. I like the puppy cut myself. I used to want a Yorkie, but I feel a larger dog would be better for me. Plus big dogs are good for small children. (I have a 1 year old.)
