Missing Yorkie

My Mom lost her 2 year old Yorkie, Alex on Highland Road across from the BREC park near Seigen Lane. He’s tan and black and he had a black and silver collar without tags and he was wearing a diaper. My Mom is offering a reward.

Missing Yorkie…Looking for witnesses, help, more info..?
I am hoping you can help spread the word about our 11 1/2 year old female Yorkie (Jasmine) who slipped out of Grandmas backyard Sunday 7/8/07 from Pearl/Dix Toledo area in Southgate Michigan. She has never run off before so she may be getting a little senile. She is 8lb black and tan and has many missing teeth. She was last seen near Shelters Elementary. We know from several reports that she was picked up by two female hispanic good samaritans who were trying to get her out of traffic (an older woman and a younger woman) driving a maroon car with a mexican flag sticker on the back. A reward is being offered for her safe return – no questions asked. Please respond if you have any information or wish to help. I will email you a flyer. Thank you.
Would like to get more ideas of websites, organizations, free posting areas like Craigslist that I can use to help spread the word about our missing Yorkie.

Good luck trying to find your Yorkie. Be sure to post flyers at the local vet's offices, as if she is injured, her rescuers might try to seek medical help for her. Post flyers at the local animal shelters, and Yorkie Rescue, too, as they might turn her in as a stray. Most newspapers don't charge for "lost dog" ads, so put an ad in the paper. Keep an eye out for "found dog" ads and flyers. Check up on anything that even remotely sounds like your dog; people can be pretty inaccurate in their descriptions. I found a husky once, which I described as a white and yellow six month old dog. Turns out she was a year old, and the "yellow" was staining from the dirty ground she had been laying on.

You also might keep an eye on the "dogs for sale" section. Not to put doubt in your mind, but she might have been stolen and will be sold for profit.

    Hope this helps!

I love dogs…. I've reported you for foul language. This is at least the 3rd or forth post I've seen where you curse at people. please.. clean up your language and be a bit more respectful.

And this isn't an ad persay… she is asking a legitimate question, it's no more an ad than the people looking for breeders in their area.

Also try posting on fidofinder.com and talk to your local shelter so they keep an eye out for the dog if it managed to run off and is picked up as a stray. That will also help.

You should also post up flyers with pictures of your yorkie, also continue to contact any local shelters and SPCA if they picked a yorkie or if anyone has brought her in. I hope for your sake she is fine and nothing has happened to her and that she will be returned to you. All the best.

I am so sorry you have lost your dog. I don't live near that area by a long shot, but I will keep your pup in my prayers and hope you get her back soon. Good luck to you.
