i am about to buy a yorkie from someone and the owner says hes 5 months. i saw the pictures and try to determine his age but im having difficulty doing so. i have pictures of the yorkie that she offered me. if anyone would like to see him and make a suggestion to his possible age. let me know and ill send some to you. i would go and take him to the vet but i have to buy him first and the sale is final. someone said you can figure out the age of the yorkie by his teeth. any thoughts.
At just 5 months old, the permanent incisor teeth will just be coming in. You will see a mixture of baby teeth and permanent teeth. A lot of times with Yorkies they don't lose their baby teeth so you will see a double row of teeth (which will have to be pulled, if they don't fall out on their own). Email me some pics and I will look at them.

Many times, you can tell by looking at their teeth. I'm not sure what feature can determine the age of he dog, but if you ask a local vet, they should be able to tell you.

you would have to ask a veterinarian.
