I NEED teacup yorkies or shorkies for sale! :)?

i really want a teacup yorkie or shorkie, so if u know any websites or anithing please answer below! :) ~natalie

I'm sure a shelter would have oodles of them! And every other designer breed you could possibly want, even the ones that no one has named yet. Shelters are quite literally overflowing with mutts like shorkies and anyone willing to take on the health risks of a runt puppy (or teacup, as you're calling it) is surely an animal lover. Kudos!!

cool.
Go ahead and get yourself a sick, poorly bred dog that cost too mcuh compared to the short life it'll live and the vet bills it'll accumulate.

There is no such thing as a teacup anything. It's a poorly bred runt.

1) No one NEEDS a dog. Pets are luxuries.

2) The only teacup anything is made of porcelain. Teacup dogs are a marketing ploy so people can sell sickly runts for top dollar to people too ignorant to tell the difference.

3) A "shorkie" is a mixed breed. I suggest you check pounds and shelters. Anyone breeding these on purpose is just out for your money and cares nothing about the health of their animals.

no such thing as a "teacup" anything.. thats just a label used by an irresponsible breeder to sell an unhealthy runt at a high price.

There is no such breed as a "shorkie" either.. its a mutt/mixed breeed/mongrel.. a yorkie/shih tzu mix.

Try shelters or rescues to find a yorkie or a mixed breed to adopt http://www.petfinder.com

If anyone is actually advertising that they breed "teacup" any breed, I'd run the other way. There is no such thing as a teacup. It's a marketing ploy used to sell a runt at a much higher price. If someone claims to be "breeding" teacups, that means they are breeding runt to runt with total disregard to the health problems that can come about.

OMG.. do you really need a dog if you cant put the time into looking for some!?!?! go to petfinder.com,, there is a few Yorkie rescues and 95 percent are young and pure breed. And there is NO SUCH THING AS A TEACUP YORKIE breeders just use that to sell them. They might be smaller (mother and Father small. But there is no such think as a teacup!! amd if you must don't go under 5 pounds then they have many health issues.

No, what you NEED is an education … on acceptable dog-breeding practices.

Breeding any purebred to a size other than what is stated in the Breed Standard is unacceptable.

Intentionally crossbreeding two purebreds to produce a *GAK* … excuse me … (hairball) … "designer doggie" is unacceptable.

Anyone who buys the product of such a breeding helps unethical "breeders" stay in business. Please don't consider buying from someone like that.

I would suggest finding websites to research breeds and breed standards… before you buy any dog. By not doing so you are enabling backyard breeders to make a profit off of your lack of knowledge… as said in previous posts no such thing as teacup yorkie… Well let me rephrase that no such thing as a healty yorkie that is considered "teacup" Maybe they are smal enough to meet the standards of the made up "teacup" name but they just aren't right.

Also the whole "shorkie" thing, not smart either… The only way I would pay money for a mutt (especially for what these "designer" dogs are going for) was if I were paying to get them from a shelter. I don't want to get started all over again on the over priced mutts… SO My answer is do your research and don't get fooled into buying something that is "RARE" because it isn't rare… It is a flaw!

Would you pay more money for a car with "RARE" scratches all down the paint over the car next to it that is just your average car with now flaws? NO you wouldn't because you are smart enough to know that is NOT Rare! IT isn't supposed to be there and the cause of those RARE scratches were the effects of an owner that didn't care about what he had, trying to rip someone off by saying it is rare, and he really doesn't care about what happens to the car as long as he makes a profit… Be a smart buyer and do your research!

Goodness! People and overpricing their mutts!

Yup what they said. Teacup=runt that won't live past 5. Just get the breed standard. Check in your locals newspaper or http://www.craigslist.org. I got my dog from there for free and he's a French Bull Dog/ Pug Mix. Or in designer terms Frenchie Pug. My friend has a Shorkie, paid $1500 for him well he's a mess. He's been doing the excited and scared pee thing for over a year now and doesn't seem like it will stop anytime soon. Be careful mixing up two breeds may product something very wrong.

O.k. not going to jump you on the whole Teacup or Shorkie thing too many have all ready. But truly look at your local shelters it really will save a life. As for the designer dog thing I think some ppl are forgetting what created their particular breeds in the first place. It was breeding for a specific trait even if meant creating a mutt. But regardless please stay away from back yard breeders. They're in part to blame for the over flowing shelters. A good breeder will want the dog back if you for any reason can no longer properly take care of it.

Like everyone else has posted for the umpteenth time…
Go educate yourself about animals and responsible breeders and ownership.Read up on puppy milling.
by the way there isn't one responsible breeder or rescue that will place small breeds within a home that has youngsters in it.You are clearly a youngster still in "needing" mode.
When you wish to offer a loving home to a needy dog that does NOT support bad breeding & milling practices-just maybe you might be ready to think about what an animal needs and not you.
Harsh words. If you think you are mature enough to care for a dog, you should be able to handle a reality check.
Posts like yours are part of the problem creating the suffering of animals.Where do you think these "teacups" come from anyway?
Too bad animals are for the most part just considered property.
Hard to tell from the post if you are truly an 8yr. old that is just ignorant of the dark side of the animal world. Will give you the benefit of the doubt. You clearly have zero animal experience.

I share my life with a two year old rescued Rat Terrier/Lab/Kelpie mix. Matilda is extremely loving, healthy, happy. We adopted her from the SPCA. She was slated to be euthanized in a Louisiana gas chamber if some kind folks didn't rescue her. She was brought back to health (she was pregnant with heartworms, mange and intestinal parasites ontop of that) and sent up here, where we (and our other dog) fell in love with her. Her story is repeated all too often — and not all dogs are as lucky as Matilda. Even the "small and cute" get put down every day. So, why am I telling you this?

I am asking you to please support rescue. NEVER, EVER give a cent to people who are breeding mixed breed dogs. I am not being rude, I am telling you the truth. Regardless of their claims, they are ALL backyard breeders and puppymills, as all they care about is money. They don't care about the thousands of dogs, purebred and mixed, young and old, that are literally dying as they wait for a new home. They also don't care about the health and temperament of the animals that they breed. By buying from these "breeders" or pet stores, you are supporting the puppy mill industry.

There is no such a thing as a "teacup" anything unless you're referring to what's on sale at the Royal Doulton store. STAY AWAY from any "breeder" selling these undersized, overpriced, sickly runts. Only backyard breeders and puppy millers breed them; when a undersized dog is born in a responsibly bred litter is sold on a spay/neuter contact.
