Can yorkies stay home by themselves while im at school?

I need to convince my mom that a yorkie would be fine while were gone. will they? and what other dogs would be fine being home all day?

any dog can stay inside, you just have to house train them. i started my dog off by crate (or cage) training him. get a crate the dog can stand up and turn around in comfortably, but without too much extra room. make it comfy with a pillow, maybe a blanket, and i like to put an old t shirt in with my dog so he has something with my scent on it. your dog will start to treat this like a den and won't pee or poo in it. once she used to holding it until she can get outside you can start letting her out and putting puppy pads by the door, to teach the dog to go to the door when it needs to go out, but she will still have an occasional accident until she's older.

I would advise against any dog being left alone all day like that. They get bored, you get mad, they become destructive, you become punitive, they become nervous, you become disinterested, they become neurotic. Seen it a hundred times.

Well, I have three BIG dogs, and they are fine alll day. One of them is in a cage all day because she eats whatever she finds. Butt, if yer dog is potty trained, (goes OUTDOORS[:), you let them out before you leave in the morning, and let them out again when you get home, the pup should be fine.

i reccoomend a cage fer puppies though.(:
