Does anyone know if the dog food AvoDerm is good for Yorkies?

Heys guys I was wondering if anyone knew anything about that food AvoDerm. This little at the pet shop here was promoting it,but you know how far people go for you to buy there product. She gave me a coupon to get one free bag, but I need some more info.

I have a 4.5 pound silver yorky, he is going on 9 years old and looks and acts like he did when he was young I use Pedigree. Yorkies are very expensive little dog, often costing upwards to $2000 for a puppy and you want to scrimp on te cost of dog food, I don't know where you live so i don't know what is available and what isn't available there but I know that Pedigree works really well fo y dog and he is to much a family member to be worried about the cost of dog food

this is the list of ingredients:
Lamb Meal, Ground Whole Brown Rice, Ground Whole Rice, Oatmeal, Rice Bran, Chicken Fat (Preserved with Mixed Tocopherols and Ascorbic Acid), Flax Seed, Avocado Meal, Dried Alfalfa Meal, Avocado Oil, Lecithin, Natural Flavor, Rosemary Extract, Sage Extract, Bromelain, Papain, Dried Bacillus Subtilis Fermentation Product, Dried Aspergillus Oryzae Fermentation Product, Monosodium Phosphate,

there are many much worse dog foods, but there are also better kibbles..If you notice, lamb meal is the first ingredient..however!! It is followed by 4 grains, listed separately..So, if grains were combined, they would be the first ingredient..This is called 'splitting' and gives a false report of ingredient proportions.

In comparison, by the Canidae label, it list chicken, turkey, lamb, brown rice, etc…That means there must be more chicken, and more turkey, and more lamb, than there is brown rice..Quite a difference!

AvoDerm is a very good food for those dogs who tend to have skin/coat allergies and dry skin.

I like it especially since they reformulated it, to include more antioxidants and DHA in the puppy formula. I like the fact that it includes the avocado in the formula because that can help prevent skin problems as well.

So for a Yorkie, I would recommend it. Just make sure you tell the clerk working that you wish to start a food card. The food card allows you to buy 12 bags, and get the 13th free.

Good luck!
