I just got a new yorkie puppie. His name is Simba as cute as can be but he won't drink!! How should i make him drink. and what tricks can i use to make him eat/drink. What human foods can i give my Yorkie?
Thanks
No human foods…these aren't good for dogs. Stomach aches or diarreaha can be a result, also there might be long term effects.
Stick with the doggie food, perhaps doggie treats if you wish?
As far as the water thing goes, your pup is new, let Simba adapt to his surroundings. Once he gets used to things he'll drink, trust me :p

when your dog gets thirsty it will drink the water you give him. as long as it is clean and he knows where it is

Put water in his food….always does the trick….

Try crushed ice for drinking… Dogs think ice is fun, but a tiny Yorkie, especially a puppy, can't handle an ice cube.
People food isn't a great idea, but a little bit of lower fat cottage cheese mixed with dry kibble is fine and can encourage them to eat.

No human foods. Just a high quality puppy food. You can soak the food in water if you need to . Just make sure a water bowl is always available.

dry puppy food with 1 table spoon of cottage cheese added, raw carrots & celery, green beans. It's best to NOT give people food and just feed dry kibble

Dogs drink when they want. And the tricks i do is to put water on his food(effective only when puppies i think) and to get him to eat or small tiny pieces of cheese/meat on it and mix it in. Not too much and not everyday. You can stick your hand in his dish and ask him do you want water?/ a drink? then let him lick your finger…lol my dog always drinks after i do that..
