Will My Yorkies Ears Stand Up on Their Own? if Not How Can I Get Them to Stand?

My Yorkies ears do not stand up, his mother's ear stand up and his father's ears don't! I love him no matter what and he is adorable either way but their ears are one of their trademarks and sometimes I get asked what kind of dog he is because of his ears. Can someone tell me what I can do?

tape them up with medical bandage type tape. You may need to put small pieces of cardboard to reinfore the tape. contact your breeder for more info on this.

Accept your pet just as he is. Enjoy and treasure his love. Who cares about the ears, be thankful he can hear, which is the purpose of ears. Do you want someone messing with your ears.

If you want your Yorkies ears to stand up you have to use a clipper to cut all the fur off the top third of the ear. Sometimes when there is hair, it causes the ears to weigh too much. The breeder should not have bred a Yorky with drop ears, or possibly the male had too much fur on them.
You can buy a product called Tear Mender, you put a thin film of it on you dogs ears, then you hold them erect until they dry. It's like starch. You have to reapply it every couple of days.
