The only thing I have to say, is WHY get a dog from a breeder when there are THOUSANDS of dogs in the shelter?!!! Why not get a dog that actually needs you?

A few tips to figure out if a breeder is reputable:

They will ask you lots of questions about your experience with the breed and ability to take care of the dog.

They will ask who your vet is.

They will ask if you have a fence (or are prepared to keep the dog on leash since you will be in an apartment.)

They will sell any AKC dog to you with a spay/neuter contract.

They will give you a health guarantee.

It will be ok to return the dog to them if for any reason you can’t keep it.

They will be willing to advise you on grooming and any other concern.

They will care about the dog (asking the questions above will tell you that they do.)

If you call a breeder and they won’t let you come to their home (i.e., they want to meet you somewhere,) they don’t want you to see the conditions in which they are breeding. If they don’t ask any of the above questions and just say “bring cash,” run like hell.

Is it AKC registered?
Was it healthy and breathing okay when it was born?
Do you notice any health issues?
What food are you feeding him/her?
What is him/her favorite toys?

Also, you might want to bring a towel and kinda just get the scent of the other puppies so it doesnt whine at night time.

Hope I helped!

if this person is reputabile breeder he should be ok and that is what you want. you can buy the dog and you are guaranteed what color the pet should be there are tow differnt kinds of those dogs. there is one that is white and silver where the black is and white on the head or silverish. anyhow there are also some that are brown and black and their fur is different the other ones i mentioned first are called silky hair and they are alot pretttier and they are more rare they are called blue gold. and the other ones are black and brown or black and tan. i have heard they have one red and black but not so sure on that i haven't see n one of them yet. anyhow the female is best to buy and its also the most expenisve but worth it. you get them fixed at 4 mos and you can get them early as 7 weeks old i think they are so cute and loveing dogs and you can teach them in short time to bpotty and they are smart dogs toy is best also take care.

DO NOT GO TO A BREEDER!!! there is an overabundance of unwanted animasl, breeders just add more unwanted to them, go to your local shelter or search on petfinder for rescues. They rescues/shelters will tell you good and valid information…and if your still gonna get one for a breeder, remember how many animals are killed each day, there only crime not having a home ADOPT DONT SHOP because BUY ONE< GET ON KILLED

monkey l is correct.why get one from a breeder when there are many dogs in a shelter waiting for a good home.and if your going to have a party consisting a lot of people, then i suggest not bringing the puppy home during your b-day b-cause puppies will get stressed out if there are too many people around them on the first day on their first day to their new home.

whats everyone smoking?
not EVERY breeder is bad.
just depends who youre dealing with.

ask stuff like. "is it AKC registered", ask for its health record, is its shots up to date, anything i should know about this dog, is it socialable with other dogs, does this dog ever bite, is it very attached to its mother, is it purebreed, those kind of stuff
