Mini Yorkshire Terrier…how much straight from a breeder?

I want a Mini Yorkshire Terrier…how much would she (want a girl) run from a breeder directly?

No such thing as a Mini Yorkshire Terrier, and if that is what the breeder is calling it you're paying too much…and just wait until you see the vet and animal behaviorist bills..

They'll probably jip you for about $1200. But you'll probably spend bundles on vet bills.

There is no such thing as a Mini Yorkie. There is only the standard sized and if someone is breeding miniature Yorkie's they are not respectable people, because a responsible breeder would not be breeding them.

Also, what is wrong with just a Yorkshire terrier? Less than seven pounds is not small enough for you? If you want smaller and healthier.. Get a rat.

Why would you want a "Mini Yorkie" there is not such thing as that breed!????

Why don't you just buy a Standard Yorkshire Terrier??
The Standard Yorkshire Terrier are small, usually weighing not more than 7 pounds.

In AKC there is no "teacup"or "Mini" just Yorkshire Terrier that's it!

NEVER buy from a pet store or puppy shop!! And dont buy a Teacup dog either.

Mini and Teacup Yorkies are just mutts. That have a HUGE price tag! And have many, many health problems!! I would rather go to a shelter and get a nice yorkie from trescuehat needs a home. Check out Petfinder.com or find a Yorkshire Terrier resuce group near you and see if they have any yorkies that need homes!

Or You could always just buy a Purebred Yorkshire Terrier that is AKC registed and buy from a good breeder!! That cares about the Yorkshire Terrier breed…………………………

Good Luck and i hope this Helps!

Quit trying to have a fluffly trendy puppy as an accessory. Try searching craiglist, petfinder, or your local SPCA to adopt a dog. There are literally thousands and thousands of unwanted pets out there that would love to come home with you. If you want a Yorkie, I'm sure there is a Yorkie rescue organization out there somewhere that adopts out unwanted/abandoned Yorkies.

Yorkshire Terrier
Avoiding the hype. Have you heard these phrases? Teacup Yorkies? Tiny Toy Yorkies? Extreme Tinies? Some breeders use these cutesy phrases as "marketing terms" for the different weights that Yorkies come in. All of these phrases are made-up. Yes, certainly, Yorkies come in different weights, but they do NOT come in different weight "varieties". Whether they weigh 4 pounds or 6 pounds or 8 pounds, they are called, simply, Yorkshire Terriers. Some are simply smaller or larger than others. The larger individuals are sturdier, so don't dismiss them as good pets.

In fact, I do NOT recommend a Yorkshire Terrier under 4 pounds. These individuals are great risks in the health department. Their bones are extremely fragile. There is not enough room in their mouth for healthy teeth. Their internal organs are often weak and can fail suddenly. They tend to have great difficulty regulating their blood sugar and can suddenly fall into hypoglycemic comas.
Responsible Yorkshire Terrier breeders never try to produce these tiny high-risk creatures. If a tiny one pops up in one of their litters, they do their best to find the best home that can keep it alive, yes, but they try hard NOT to produce them in the first place because it's not fair to the poor little creature.

On the other hand, some breeders deliberately breed tiny high-risk Yorkies because they can sell them for high prices to unsuspecting owners, or to owners who selfishly demand that they "want" one because it's "adorable" or to satisfy their "mothering" instincts. Don't be one of these people. If you reward these irresponsible breeders by giving them your money, you are encouraging them to keep producing tiny, sickly, short-lived creatures. No, be a responsible buyer and stick with Yorkshire Terriers who will mature at 4 pounds and up, who have the best chance of living a normal healthy life. In this way, breeders will be motivated to produce these sizes. (These individuals, by the way, will weigh at least 2-3 pounds at 10-12 weeks old.)

I got my girl yorkie for $1000. Don't be fooled when they say it's a Tea Cup yorkie or it's a Mini yorkie and increase the price.. There is no such thing as a Tea Cup yorkie…

I'm not sure what a mini yorkie is unless you mean a real small one. I do know if someone is saying they have one it's not a good breeder. Do some more research and you will find a good breeder. There's lots of information on this site you can read.
