Yorkshire Terrier Cost?

I'm getting a Yorkshire Terrier from a trusted breeder this Tuesday, and we're paying $900 dollars for her. Is that a high price?
Yes, her puppies are all CKC registered. AND, both the mum and dad are retired champions and live with the breeder.

NO, it's not a high price for a registered dog. It is a VERY high price for an unregistered dog. Is your pup getting AKC or CKC papers? If not, then don't get it and find a breeder that IS registering it's pups.

Please, don't listen to ppl who think "cheaper" is better. They are completely ignorant and don't understand the potential veterinary costs that could be involved in getting a backyard bred or puppy mill dog. They are morons, don't listen.

ALSO, I commend you for getting a dog from a trusted breeder. It's great that you are doing what is right. I'm sure your pup will be of great quality and will have a fantastic temperment :)

That is a fair price for a registered Yorkshire Terrier from a responsible breeder. Decent breeders are worth their weight in gold so if you've found one, stick with 'em. Enjoy your new pup!

I paid a breeder $900 for my yorkie 9 months ago and she is worth every penny. The sweetest dog in the world. I am ready to get her a playmate and I would spend that again. I just question how the pet shops get away with asking $1800 to $2000 for them. Guarantees or no guarantees, to pay that to a pet shop baffles me. Enjoy your puppy. That price is NOT too high.
