How Much Are Yorkshire Terrier Puppies?

Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

How much are they at like the flea market or something? i need a female for $250 or less. and are they in good health? yorkie or yorkie mix.
in georgia

An animal for $250 or less that you buy at "the flea market or something" is going to be a poor quality animal with no guarantee of health. These animals are bred by BYBs who are in it for a quick buck and don’t give a rats *ss as to the quality of animals they’re producing and selling. They don’t care about the health of the female carrying the litter and the parents aren’t vet checked or scored before breeding. These BYBs are preying on gullible people who buy the animals on a whim because "they’re soooo cute". Little do they realise the life long trials and tribulations they’re in for. Sure they may be getting a cheap animal, but they’re going to end up forking out plenty more of their hard earned cash to try and fix the results of the poor breeding.

Do yourself a favour, don’t buy into the BYB industry! Don’t get one of these dogs! Find a quality breeder selling quality animals or rescue a dog from a shelter.

This way you should find a reputable breeder as unfortunately a lot of Yorkies are produced by puppy farms.

After 10 weeks your puppy no longer needs milk. Just puppy food will be good for her. No milk, like you said they can’t break down lactose.

Want to Buy a Yorkshire Terrier Puppy?

Anyone know of any people that have yorkshire terrier puppies for sale in or around the albany, ny area?

I found my rescue Yorkie, Benny Boy,on Petfinder.com almost four years ago and brought the 18 ounce pup home on Christmas eve.

He is just a great dog friend to all in our family!

He is neither "yappy" or hyper, just a chill companion that likes to go where ever we go.

That includes hiking, camping and kayaking!

Try some of the rescue sites on Petfinder.com and also the breed specific sites for Yorkie rescues and good luck!

I’ve Just Bought Two puppies(Yorkshire Terrier)they Are Brother and Sister,Are They Going to Be Hubby N’ Wife?

Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

Would you marry your sibling..? In any case, dogs do not have emotional ‘relationships’ like humans, or have a concept of whether it’s their sister, their aunt, their third cousin, or a complete stranger. If your female goes into heat, the male will want to mate with her, so it’s best to get them spayed and neutered around when they reach six months old to avoid having puppies with an increased risk of birth defects and other health problems due to such a closely genetic breeding.

Are Yorkshire Terrier Puppies Easy to Look After and How Can I Convince My Parents to Let Me Have One?

Friday, December 24th, 2010

I am 13 and have always wanted a little dog and a Yorkshire Terrier is perfect. The only problem is my parents wont let me have one because:
1. We have 2 cats
2. vet bills and food costs
3. their noisy
I have said that I will look after it myself and that I will walk it and feed it and that I will make sure that it doesn’t scare the cats but they still say no.
They also said that they are too much to handle but I told them that I don’t mind and that I think having a dog will teach responsibility which is a good thing for my age. But I do want to know if they do take a lot of looking after and if I should re – think :/ Please tell me how to convince my parents because I really want a dog. Thank you :) ,xx

Every dog is hard to look after,no matter which breed is it,but can also be the greatest joy in your life if you train it properly and take good care of it. Yorkshire terriers are small so they don’t need much exercise. two walks(in the morning and evening) are good for them. They can be yappy so you must train them not to bark. Food = up to 4$ a week (cause they are small). You must do a LOT of research before getting a dog. Here are some good sites:

www.dobreedinfo.com
www.yourpurebredpuppy.com
www.allsmalldogbreeds.com
Hope I helped! And good luck with convincing you parents! ;)

How Will You Know if a Yorkshire Terrier Is Really Pure Breed?

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

i’m planning to buy a dog and may i know if this is a pure one? http://www.sulit.com.ph/index.php/view+classifieds/id/2144230/referralKeywords/yorkshire+terrier/yorkshire+terrier+puppies (male puppy #5)

Supposedly they have papers (I can only guess as to wether or not that’s a real kennel club or a fake registry since I’m not familiar with the country) which suggests that they are pure bred.

I would be extremely wary of someone who is charging different prices for males and females though. That’s not something that someone who cares about the welfare of the dogs does.. That’s something that someone who just wants money does.
