I have a Yorkshire Terrier puppy, she is about 10 weeks, about 1 lb, not even a foot long, and just a tad taller than my heel. My question is that if i bring her outside is she a potential prey for other animals (Owls, Falcons, Eagles, etc…)
Yes!!! On tonight’s news here in Australia a Pit bull Terrier killed a fully grown Maltese Terrier that his owner was walking after having let go of a Miniature Fox Terrier that was lucky enough to get away. The little girl who owned The Miniature Fox Terrier had earlier hit the Pit bull with her umbrella as it was attacking her cat which he killed.

Your little Yorkie it a target for big dogs and other predators until she grows up. You should have her micro chipped so that you will be able to trace her should she be stolen or anything happen to her. It goes without saying that you should keep her safe in a well fenced yard.
Your vet will tell you about local safety provisions in your country or shire. You should try to take your puppy to Canine Good Citizen for puppy training lessons and to socialise her with other dogs so that when she goes for a walk and run in off – leash areas when she gets bigger she will be able to mix with other dogs without getting into trouble.
Good Luck!!!
