   There is a rescue sanctury in Leigh lancashire. you will find the number listed under "Leigh animal sanctuary" or "Leigh cats and dogs home" Good luck!

   If you contact one of the breed clubs listed at the bottom of this page

   They will be able to put you in touch with Yorkshire Terrier Rescue (there is a Northern Cos Club , & a Cheshire & N Wales Club)

   Try ringing round the various different RSPCA branches, and look in the yellow pages for animal sanctuaries.

   When we were looking for a rescue pomeranian, we went to the breed rescue and found that they had the best selection of different dogs, so if I were you I would try the breed rescue for yorkies.
