i have a one year old yorkshire terrier, and well she’s a very smart dog but i mean i havent really found a way to potty train her. Any ideas?
plz im desperate im sick of picking up poop!
Yorkies are notoriously hard to potty train, so you kinda should have been prepared for this problem. That aside, crate her when you are not with her and leash her to you the rest of the time. Take her out, or to the potty paper, every single time she appears to want to potty. I suggest you skip the outside and start with potty pads. Once you have her using the pads, adding in occasional trips outside will be easy. Hang in there.

Crate training, don’t leave the dog unattended in the house, take her out every couple of hours and tell her to go potty and lots of praise when she does.

get her a kennel with a divider and ask the store associate to instruct you as to how to use it…

pick her up every time she is about to do it and take her out on the grass. dont get mad, EVER dont hit the dog . just keep on taking her out often and monitor when and how much u feed so u can kinda expect when she will go next. Oh and if this is not enough research crate training.
Good luck.

get a litter box and teach her the same way you taught her fetch

Take her or let her out often and crate train. When you let her out let her stay until she does her business. If she comes in and tries to poop or pee in the house tell her no and put her back out. She’ll get the message even if you need to be out with her while she’s on a leash. Every so often give her a treat when she does her business outside. Don’t give the treat every time because she will expect that all the time.
Once she gets the concept it will be much easier. Accidents will happen on occasion and that is expected but if she’s doing this when you’re home it shouldn’t be happening.

You need to have her crated and every 2 hrs take her out side to go potty and with in 20 minutes of eating, always take her to same area and say go potty and when she does give her praise note it may take longer with a small dog i know that from ex[ i have small dogs and i think we tend to baby them more than a larger dog and the fact that their poo is smaller might have something to do with it just keep on be very consistent with the dog they will get it
