Do miniature yorkshire terriers shed hair?
Am getting a miniture yorkshire terrier and i want to no if it sheds hair ? Any body no ?
They do shed, but they're on the lower end of the scale. Dogs like Yorkies with longer, silkier hair tend to shed less and are a good choice for people with allergies/sensitivities to dog hair/dander.

yes they shed but a way to make them not shed comb their fur often!!!!!!!hope you get a nice pet!

what you mean is does it shed fur and no it doesnt because it has hair like people it will grow consistantly and will nered grooming often!! like above there is no such thing as a mini yorkie it is a toy breed and if the " breeder" is telling you it is mini they are not proffessional at all . no such thing as tecup poocketbook and all the other made up things they use just simply a RUNT!!

how big do you think yorkies are? an average, normal yorkie is between 5 to 8 pounds! hopefully you did your research on the breed because i have a feeling you are about to pay alot of money! is this puppy more expensive than the rest because it's a "miniature"? if so…RUN! you aren't dealing with a reputable breeder! any responsible breeder would sell a "miniature" (or in laymans terms…a runt) for less with a spay or neuter contract! have you asked your breeder what tests they have the dogs take? yorkies are prone to liver shunt and hip dysplasia just to name a few!have they tested for any of these? i just wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into and i hope you have checked all these things so you don't end up spending way more money in the long run and end up with your heart broken!now in answer to your question…yorkies do shed but in my opinion no more than a human would! they are a single coated breed which means they only have a topcoat, no undercoat! the undercoat is what sheds the most!so people with allergies usually tollerate the single coated breeds better!they don't shed so much dander or fur!they do take alot of time grooming(if you want a yorkie with long hair) but if you don't want to spend so much time grooming you can give them a puppy cut!i hope you find the puppy of your dreams!good luck!
